Biography
Arzu AL completed her BA in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University. AL completed MA at Marmara University Middle East Research Institute, by defending “Repercussions in Turkey between 1958-1979 years of the coup d’etat carried out in Iraq” her titled thesis. She completed her PhD at Accounting Finance program at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences and studied financial crises both Turkey and rest of the World with “The effects of the financial crisis on the accounting system in enterprises” titled thesis.
Some of the books AL wrote and edited can be listed as Turkish Foreign Policy 1918-1980; International Political Economy 1; International Political Economy: Economic Crisis and Turkey; Current Studies in International Relations I; Current Studies in International Relations II.
Arzu AL has worked on issues such as international political economy, industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence, oil pipelines and energy dependence, new globalization, political risk, political stability and economic development duo, Balkans, international trade and production, Cyprus, Black Sea and regionalization, security and global governance, throughout her academic life.
Arzu AL, who was also the Head of the International Political Economy Department of Marmara University in 2015; She was appointed as Co-Head of the Department of International Relations at Marmara University in 2017. He served as Vice Dean at Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 2018 and became Associate Professor in 2019.
