The Uzbekistan-Türkiye Strategic Vision Forum was held on October 13, 2025, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, hosted by the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED). The event was organized by the Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) at UWED and the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies at Ibn Haldun University.
The opening session of the event was attended by Prof. Sodyq SAFOEV, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and Rector of UWED; Dr. Ufuk ULUTAŞ, Ambassador of Türkiye to Uzbekistan; Mirvokhid AZIMOV, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States; Prof. Atilla ARKAN, Rector of Ibn Haldun University, and Prof. Mesut ÖZCAN, Head of the Diplomacy Academy of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Tolga SAKMAN, Chairman of DİPAM, delivered a speech at the first session of the Forum on how Turkey’s diplomatic and institutional experience gained during its European Union process could be evaluated in terms of the Turkic World and multilateral relations.
The sessions discussed the conditions and opportunities for deepening Türkiye-Uzbekistan relations and for institutionalizing, strengthening, and increasing the influence of the Organization of Turkic States. A common vision of cooperation based on mutual trust, cultural affinity, and the pursuit of a more connected and resilient future within the Organization of Turkic States and the broader Eurasian region was presented.
