EuroMeSCo is the main network of research centres and think tanks in the Euro-Mediterranean area. Founded in 1996, in the aftermath of the Barcelona Declaration, the network currently comprises more than 120 institutions from 30 European and Southern Mediterranean countries. Aim of the Network is boosting the role of think tanks and research institutes in policy-making and strengthening Euro-Mediterranean relations.
DİPAM is the member of EuroMeSCo as of 2023.
The flagship event of the Network is Annual Conference. This year’s Conference was held at the EESC building in Brussels/Belgium on 16-17 May 2024. Main theme of this event was “Mediterranean Foresight: Exploring Future Scenarios of Cooperation”.
Dr. Tolga SAKMAN, Chairman of DİPAM, attended to this Conference representing the institution. Dr. Sakman gave the opinions especially about migration and security issues on Eastern Mediterranean, effects of Gaza conflict to the region, and IMEC project and its more possible alternatives.
Aditionally, EuroMeSCo General Assembly was hold and this year’s completed and upcoming projects were talked.
