SUMMARY:“Turkey’s Relations with Global Powers in Syria” Online Panel
DESCRIPTION:The decrease in conflicts in Syria has increased the expectation for stability in the region. However, whether this process is really a softening period or a preparation period for new conflicts will emerge in the coming time. The architects of the said “softening” period in the region; Turkey and Russia, are still not in a clear agreement on Syria. On the other hand, it seems that the withdrawal process of the USA from Syria will bring different developments for the region. Recently for Turkey, hot developments are taking place in the eastern Mediterranean on one side, and on the other side  the Syrian issue, which is not very independent from these developments, still continues for 9 years with all of its problems.
In this context, “Turkey’s Relations with Global Powers in Syria” online panel will be held on September 22, 2020 at 19:30, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Özden Zeynep OKTAV, Turan KIŞLAKÇI and Dr. Savaş BİÇER and with the moderation of Ahmet İŞCAN. The language of the panel will be Turkish and there will be no translation.
